On the initiative of the Directorate-General for Energy of the European Commission, INZEB (Institute of Zero Energy Buildings) organized a workshop on the presentation of the Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET-Plan).
The event took place on Thursday 12 July 2018 and was held at the premises of the European Parliament Office in Athens.
The workshop was aimed at all organizations with an interest in the SET-Plan. Key stakeholders from the public and private sectors were invited (Ministry of Environment and Energy, Academia, Researchers and Research Institutions, R&D labs etc).
Mrs Andy Kontoudakis was the speaker appointed by DG Energy, who presented the SET-Plan and participated in a discussion with the participants. Key topics of the presentation were the following:
- Cooperation within Europe in Clean Energy
- SET-Plan Governance: Actors directly involved in the target setting process
- SET-Plan actions under the Energy Union
- Horizon 2020 contribution to the SET-Plan
SET-Nav partners from NTUA participated actively in the event in order to promote the SET-Nav current work and expected results as a linkage with the SET-Plan. Ass. Prof. Haris Doukas chaired the meeting and Dr. Chara Karakosta presented the SET-Nav H2020 project, its scope and work in progress, emphasing on the support for the further development of the SET-Plan that is provisioned to be offered by the SET-Nav.
The event was covered by the TV programme "ECO NEWS" of the Greek channel "SKAI", where also NTUA partners were interviewed and spoke about the importance of SET-Plan.
